Three-lobe beggartick

description

An annual herbaceous dark green plant. The leaves are opposite, three-parted, with lanceolate serrated lobes. The flowers are small, yellow, tubular, clustered in a brown and yellow basket. Fruits are tenacious oblong achenes. Height 15 – 100 cm.

The time of flowering. July-August.

Distribution. It is found almost throughout Eurasia continent.

Habitat. It grows in wet places, in floodplains, near streams and swamps.

The part used. Grass (stems, leaves, flowers), roots.

The time of collection. Grass and leaves are collected at the beginning of flowering, roots-in the fall.

Chemical composition

The herb contains tannins, mucus, bitter substances, essential oil, carotene and vitamin C.

Application

The series is widely used in folk medicine in various countries, being one of the most popular plants. The sequence excites the appetite, strengthens and improves digestion, corrects the wrong metabolism in skin diseases, increases the excretion of urine and sweat, stops bleeding, and calms the nervous system. The plant also slightly reduces blood pressure, increases the amplitude of heart contractions and has a mild and anti-inflammatory effect.

A decoction of the herb is used to increase appetite, improve digestion, for colds, coughs, liver and spleen diseases, gout, arthritis and rickets. The main is the use of the series as an effective internal and external anti-gilding agent at the same time. The decoctum of the herb is drunk with the simultaneous use of baths, washings, compresses for scrofula, exudative diathesis and various skin diseases, rashes, acne, boils, and so on.

Decoction of the root has an antitoxic effect and in folk medicine of Central Asia is used for bites of Scorpions. Crushed leaves of the series as an external remedy are used for snake bites. Crushed leaves applied to wounds and ulcers clean them of pus, dry them and promote faster healing. In scientific medicine, the sequence is used for children's diseases: various diatheses, accompanied by urticaria, scrofulous, seborrhea of the head (dandruff) and milk scab. You can get different colors for the fabric: cream, orange-yellow and brown by leaves and flower baskets, depending on the mordant.

Method of application

2 tablespoons of herbs infuse for 12 hours in 1/2 liter of boiling water in a warm oven, strain. Take 1/2 cup 3 times a day.
