Description
Perennial herbaceous fragrant. a plant with long rootstocks and erect bare smooth stems. The leaves are alternate, broadly linear, flat, glabrous, and smooth, with a long webbed tongue. Inflorescence paniculate, ovate, up to 10 – 12 cm long. Spikelets are ovate, shiny, with one bisexual and two staminate flowers. There are two stamens in a bisexual flower, and three in the stamens. The fruit is a grain. Height 30 – 70 cm.

The time of collection. April-June.
Chemical composition
The herb contains the glucoside coumarin, which gives the plant an aromatic smell. There are alkaloids in the stems and roots.
Application
Water infusion and tincture of herbs on vodka are taken to stimulate the appetite and enhance the activity of the gastrointestinal tract. The fragrant sweet-grass is used in alcohol industry for the preparation of aromatic bitters — "Zubrovka".
Method of application
1 tablespoon of dry herb bison infuses 1/2 hour in 1 glass of boiling water in a closed container. Take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day for 10-15 minutes before meals.
