Description

A perennial herbaceous creeping plant. The lower leaves are long-stemmed, the upper ones are sessile, five-six lobed, the lobes are rounded, and serrate. The flowers are very small, green-yellow, crowded into balls. Height 20 – 40 cm.

The time of flowering. June-July.

Distribution. It is found in many areas, with the exception of the southern regions.

Habitat. Grows in forests, forest edges, meadows.

Unexplored. It is known that the plant contains tannins substances.

Application

The Lady's Mantle increases urination and milk production, promotes expectoration, stops various bleeding and has astringent, anti-inflammatory and good wound healing effects. An infusion or decoction of the herb is drunk for indigestion, sluggish intestinal peristalsis, diarrhea, and as an expectorant for respiratory diseases. Water infusion or decoction of the herb Lady's Mantle grape wine is taken for heart pain, dropsy, diarrhea, fermenting and putrid dyspepsia, various bleeding and various respiratory diseases. In the past, the Lady's Mantle was also used for pulmonary tuberculosis as a means to improve metabolism and heal cavities in the lungs.

In German folk medicine, an infusion of leaves is used for anemia, malaria, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, rheumatism, dropsy, extremely strong menstrual bleeding, diarrhea, dysentery, gastrointestinal colic and as a wound healing agent for "internal ulcers" and external wounds. German folk medicine recommends for the normal course of labor to take 4 weeks before them 1/2 cup of infusion of leaves of the Lady's Mantle 3 times a day. Externally, the herb infusion is used for washing, lotions and compresses for ulcers, wounds and for washing the nose with a strong runny nose with bleeding. Crushed leaves are applied to cuts and wounds for their speedy healing. Water infusion of leaves wash the face to heal acne.

Method of application

1. 4 teaspoons of dry leaves of the Lady's Mantle insist for 4 hours in 1 cup of boiling water, strain. Take 1/2 cup 2-4 times a day before meals, pre-sweetened.

2. boil 15 g of the cuff herb in 1/2 l of grape wine, infuse for 1 day, strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day before meals.
