Description

A perennial herb with a creeping rhizome. The stem is branched in the lower part. The leaves are oblong-obovate, narrowed to the petiole, acuminate, leathery, wintering, dark green above, light green below. The flowers are small, pink, on long drooping pedicels, collected at the top of the stem in an umbrella-shaped inflorescence. Flowers are bisexual, with ten stamens and one pistil, with an upper five-star ovary. The fruit is a spherical flattened fluffy box. Height 8 – 15 cm.

Application

A Pine Tulip is used as a diuretic and anti-inflammatory agent for diseases of the bladder and internal diseases associated with excessive physical exertion. In German folk medicine, an infusion of Umbellate wintergreen leaves is used for chronic inflammation of the bladder and urinary tract, dropsy, chronic kidney diseases, prostate diseases and edema due to heart and liver diseases. Crushed leaves are applied to wounds to heal them.

Method of application

2 teaspoons of dry grass or dry leaves of Pine Tulip insist for 2 hours in 1 Cup of boiling water, strain. Take 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day.
