Description

A perennial herbaceous creeping plant. The lower leaves are long-stemmed, the upper ones are sessile, five-six lobed, the lobes are rounded, and serrate. The flowers are very small, green-yellow, crowded into balls. Height 20 – 40 cm.

Application

The Lady's Mantle increases urination and milk production, promotes expectoration, stops various bleeding and has astringent, anti-inflammatory and good wound healing effects. An infusion or decoction of the herb is drunk for indigestion, sluggish intestinal peristalsis, diarrhea, and as an expectorant for respiratory diseases. Water infusion or decoction of the herb Lady's Mantle grape wine is taken for heart pain, dropsy, diarrhea, fermenting and putrid dyspepsia, various bleeding and various respiratory diseases. In the past, the Lady's Mantle was also used for pulmonary tuberculosis as a means to improve metabolism and heal cavities in the lungs.

In German folk medicine, an infusion of leaves is used for anemia, malaria, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, rheumatism, dropsy, extremely strong menstrual bleeding, diarrhea, dysentery, gastrointestinal colic and as a wound healing agent for "internal ulcers" and external wounds. Method of application
