Chaga mushroom

Description

Chaga belongs to the family of polypore and parasites on birch trunks. If you go to the forest and look closely at the birch trees growing there, you can notice on their tables ugly black growths of irregular shape. This occurs as a result of the activity of the fungus Inonotus Mown, which is a phytoparasite. Destroying wood fibers, the fungus receives nutrition, and in the process of life produces a chromogenic complex of substances that provides Сhaga with its useful properties. The defeat of the tree by Сhaga leads to the imminent death of the plant, after the death of which the birch fungus spreads to the new host tree with the help of spores. The life cycle of the mushroom is 10 to 20 years. Attention! chaga should not be confused with polypore, similar to the hoof, which is also found on birch trees. It does not have any useful properties!

Origin

Chaga is widely found in birch forests throughout Russia, as well as Eastern Europe, Korea, and North America.

The part used. Fruit bodies of the mushrooms. The mushroom is cut down with an axe from the trunk of a birch, cleaned of bark and loose white entrails, then crushed and dried at 60 degrees.

The time for collection. You can collect Chaga at any time of the year, but from a practical point of view, it is most convenient to carry out harvesting from late autumn to early spring, when there are no leaves and it is easier to notice the growth on the tree trunk.

Application

Useful properties of Сhaga have been known since earliest times, it is used for the treatment and prevention of various diseases, for cosmetic purposes, as well as a basis for drinks - tea and kvass.

Medicinal properties of Сhaga are primarily the ability to effectively resist the formation of malignant tumors and slow down the growth of already formed ones. The use of Сhaga medicine makes sense when the patient is not recommended for radiation therapy or surgical intervention. However, it is worth remembering that although Сhaga medicines reduce pain and improve the patient's condition, they are not able to completely relieve the tumor. Chaga tea is most effective at the initial stage and in the prevention of cancer.

Chaga is also used in the course of treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract - gastritis, stomach ulcers.

In cosmetology, the infusion and decoction of Сhaga is used to fight psoriasis and dermatitis of various origins, to improve the condition of the skin and hair.

Methods of application

Infusion of chaga - 100 grams of dry raw material pour 500 ml. of warm water. After 4 hours, remove the damp pieces of mushroom, chop and return back, then heat the liquid to 40 degrees. Then drain the liquid through cheesecloth, carefully squeezing out the pieces of mushroom. Store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Do not use metal dishes when cooking! Take 3 times a day half an hour before meals. Apply the course for a period of 1 month, after which a break of 7-10 days.

Alcohol tincture - 50 grams. Fungus on 300 ml of vodka, insist in a dark room for 3 weeks. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day, diluting with water. Apply externally for pain in the joints, arthrosis, and rheumatism

Chaga tea - place several pieces of Chaga in a thermos, pour boiling water and brew for several hours. The resulting tea is drained; the mushroom can be brewed again.

Contraindications

Contraindications to taking Chaga and its preparations are taking penicillin antibiotics, as well as intravenous dextrose. Also a contraindication is the disease of chronic colitis, pregnancy and breast - feeding, age less than 12 years.
